Welcome!

I really just want to eat delicious things and not gain a thousand pounds doing so.
Is that too much to ask?

It shouldn't be...which is why I wanted to start a blog. I've gathered hundreds of healthy recipes (...and far too many cupcake recipes) that I'm dying to try. Nothing depresses me more than people on a diet who eat nothing but romaine lettuce and grilled chicken. I've been through that phase and it worked for about 6 months, but I got so profoundly bored with what I was eating that I went totally in the opposite direction and ate nothing but bagels and tater tots (exaggeration, but some of you have been there, I'm sure). 

So this is my attempt at meeting those two extremes somewhere in the middle. I'm not counting every single calorie, I'm more concerned with maintaining a balanced diet and cutting out as much processed garbage as I can. College is not an easy place to diet; granted, I'm in graduate school now, so it's not like I'm eating platefuls of mac and cheese in the dining hall by day and drunk-dialing Domino's at night. So I'm hoping that this blog will motivate me to continue to cook healthy meals for myself, and then I can share some of what I make with you!
